Chia-Jung (Betty) Kang
Junior Human Factors Engineer
Betty has a bachelor’s degree in psychology at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and a MSc degree in Human Factors at University of Nottingham, where she focused on medical devices, researching on the usability of assistive devices as her master dissertation.
Betty has experience researching on neuroscience on children with autism spectrum (ASD) at Taipei Medical University Hospital and worked with medical professionals to test the application of potential medical device in treating children with ASD. She continued her passion and developed her skills on human research, user experience, and usability research in her master.
With her academic training and passion on improving human life, Betty continues her career path in the human factors team to remedy risks and errors in real life. Additionally, with her Asian culture and languages, Betty is going to bring user research into a new page – the exploration of culture differences and Asian viewpoints.
As THAY Medical broadens its presence in the Chinese market, focusing on securing approvals from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), Betty emerges as a key figure in this endeavor.
